Strawberry Fields Forever

We headed out bright and early this morning to Parlee Farms to pick some strawberries.  We usually go in the fall for apples & pumpkins, but school got out extra early this year so we got there in time for PYO strawberries.

Eli and my mom roamed the fields looking for little juicy rubies, while my cousin and I hung back with the trio.  I took each little out of the choo-choo only long enough to pose him and then put him back in (I'm not that crazy, people).
Ben was all over the strawberries.  We had to keep him
cooped up in the wagon so there were some left for
everybody else.

Sammy's 1st attempt was stem first.  He figured it out though.

Natey went right in for the kill.

Eli shows them how it's done.

N-E-S-B
5 lbs of strawberries later!

Then we headed up to pay and get some DELISH strawberry donuts (probably my favorite way to eat a strawberry!)
Ben's not so sure about the sugar coating.

I think Sammy's going to be my donut-man based on this shot.

Natey doesn't mind it at all.

After donut-time, it was animal time!!!  We got to hang out with goats, sheep, frog eating chickens, and some morbidly obese bunnies!
Nate kept saying "MOOOO" to the goats.

Eli feeds his new friend, Billy.

Sammy tires to escape the frog eating chickens.

Ben wants to try some of the yummy sheep food.

Super fun day for everybody!
