T-Ball Opening Day 2012

Once again, Eli is excited to be on the Red Sox for T-ball. He had his parade and first game on Saturday. Dave is an "on field helper". He basically points to the bases so kids know where to run and makes sure everybody is safe.

Shipping up to Boston

Our yearly outing to Boston to the swam boats came on a beautiful day.  My first stop was to have a cavity filled, then all novacained up, we headed down to Bean-town.  The babies were remarkably well behaved in the car while they munched on some fruit and we tried to locate a parking spot...easier said than done!
We stopped at PF Chang's for lunch (just like last year).  Eli tried a few new things and the babies made a huge mess.  That's why we tip big after all. 
Then we finally got to the Swan Boats!  We thought there would be a long line, but we didn't have to wait more than a minute.  It was quick.  This year we tried it all by ourselves, hoping the babies would sit nicely...HA!!! I think the babies understood a bit more, but still didn't grasp the whole concept that we were floating on water and there were ducks around us.  They did quack a bit and entertain the lookie-loo's on the boat.

Up next was the duck statues.  We had a difficult time getting a picture because there were some rudey-tooties there who weren't moving their kids out of the way.  It all paid off in the end though.

19 Months Old!!!

In honor of the babies' 19'th mirthday, the Red Sox are having their home opener...let's hope they win!!!

He finally lost it!!!

After the original Shark Boy post, Eli finally lost his 1st tooth!!!  He has been wiggling it day and night, but has been too afraid to let us pull it or to pull it out himself.  Last night he came down from being in bed at about 8:30 with his tooth in a very unnatural position.  He went into the bathroom to check it out and...

VIOLA!!! 

He yanked it out all by himself!

He got out his official Tooth Fairy pillow to put it in.  Then he put his Tooth Fairy pillow on the dining room table.  It was his idea.  He doesn't want to scare the Tooth Fairy off if he wakes up while she's in there.  No skin off my back.  The dining room table is a good spot for her.

This morning he woke up at 5:45 to see what was in his pillow.  He got a shiny new golden dollar!  He was so excited!!! 

Now hopefully he can yank the other one out so the two grown up teeth can come forward ASAP.

Easter Egg Hunt

After a bit longer nap, the Easter Bunny conviently hid some eggs in the yard.  He also conviently color coded them for us.  Eli was purple and the babies were their respective colors.  Eli's eggs had jelly beans in them and the babies had Goldfish.

I guess they like Goldfish. 

Because it was a bit dirty and chilly and the babies didn't really "get" the whole concept.  We went back inside to open up the eggs.

Eli put together some Easter Legos he got in his basket and then we had bubble time. 

Overall we had a super day!  Happy Easter!!!

Easter Brunch

After a quick nap, we got loaded up and headed out for brunch.  We have been going to the same place for a few years.  We like the food and they conviently have an Easter Bunny (or 2) on premesis for our picture taking pleasure.  Did I mention they have the best Au Gratin potatoes ever?  I think I want to be buried in a vat of them when I die...YUM!!!

Of course, we got there 20 minutes early and had time to kill.  After checking in, we did what anybody would do...take pictures!!!

We totally pigged out on so much yummy stuff at the buffet.  We were the first seating so hopefully too many people hadn't sneezed on the food yet!  The babies ate their weight in blueberries and I ate my weight in Eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, Roast Beef, Au Gratin potatoes, and chocolate covered strawberries. YUMMMMMMM!!!!
