Saturday...Let's get going...
We packed up most of our gear Friday night and were on the road bright and early Saturday morning...

We got to the Sagamore rest stop and fed the babies their breakfast. They're rocking eating big people food. Waffles and bananas were on the menu.

Since we couldn't get the key to our place until 3 PM we decided to beach it until our key was ready. We tried Corporation beach first, but it was full so we headed over to Howe St. Note to self...the hill is huge and not fun for lugging up babies and gear and a sometimes useless 5 year old...
So great weather and fun at the beach and then we head out to get some groceries and go to our rental house. After unpacking and feeding babies, we went to get some dinner and head over to West Dennis beach to see some fire boom booms aka fireworks.

Super fun and super long day...We weren't home until after 10...yikes...
Sunday...Beach Day...
So we're kind of beach rats and will spend every waking moment at the beach if allowed so we decided to get out bright and early to get some more sand in our toes...and diapers...etc...We chose Mayflower beach for our big day out. Worked well for us last year, but this year it was a bit tough for us with the babies. Super weather and super day...

When we got home, we decided to put all the babies in the outdoor shower because we thought it would be fun...ummmm...not so much...

Then we went for dinner and ice cream. We went to the Lil Caboose place because we go every year and take pictures on the cute little train they have for kids to play on.

Monday...Pancake Day...
There's a restaraunt called Pancake Man that we go to every year also, so we went for breakfast on Monday morning. The babies loved their silver dollar pancakes and we all pigged out on yumminess of pancakes...

Then...you guessed it...we went to the beach. This time Corporation. It was pretty empty when we got there so we got our choice of spots. Because we had forgotten the babies' floats at home, we got these goofy little car floatie things. They took some getting used to for the babies, but they worked out well. After one use, one got a hole in it. When we went back to the store, they replaced it for free for us...yay...and did I mention...they filled them all up for us too...double yay...

Baby Jail
Too windy for the tent so we used blankets for shade instead... |
Then we were off to the Dog House for another yearly tradition of hot dogs and hand cut fries. After that Sundae School for some ice cream...
Are you noticing a pattern? Beaches and ice cream are what it's all about...
Then home for a tubby. Since the outdoor shower didn't go over so well, we decided to do the indoor thing. The bathroom was H-U-G-E and we wanted to steal it. We piled up all the babies and they were having a great time...until we saw floaties in the tub...GROSSSSSSSS...We got everybody out and cleaned up the mess and tried again...
Tuesday...headin' home...
We had to cut our vacation short this year because Dave had used all his vacay time to stay home with the babies so we only could stay til Tuesday. While Dave was packing up the van, I was taking pix of the place to post on the blog...
Then...off to the beach...YAY...We went to Corporation again because it was just logistically easier for us.
On our way home, we stopped at Spanky's Clam Shack for my favorite lobster ravioli and to see the harbor in Hyannis...

Don't worry...we had Ben and Jerry's before we left the Cape...
