We are beach lovers. We make the trip up to Maine at least once per month and spend a week on the Cape. We can't get enough of the beach. I don't know why. It's a pain to pack up. It's a pain to clean up. But, we love it anyway. We hope our boys do too.
Last year, the trio spent the majority of their beach time in the "baby jail." We brought it with us this time, but barely used it. The beach was relatively empty (could it be because it was only in the 60's and overcast?) so we let them roam free. They all stayed pretty close. It was like there was an invisible tether to us.
We even braved a picnic on the blanket.

One thing Dave and Eli love to do is build sand castles. They attempted it, but it turned out more like a sand mountain due to their 3 little helpers.

After awhile, we braved the water. We love OGT because when the tide goes out, it makes fun little tide pools. We never actually went in the ocean. The kids played in this tide pool. The water was pretty warm considering it's June in Maine.

This is my favorite picture of the day.
Quite possibly, my favorite picture of Sam.

Note: The 6 year old isn't looking at the camera, but the 1 year olds are.
OOYYY!!!
Hysterical pirate towels...

Nate & Sam?
I noticed after the fact that one of the towels is backwards.
The hood is sewed on with the back of the pirate in the front.
So weird...
We had a blast! Can't wait for our beach week! Hopefully it's as smooth as this trip!!!
