We recently purchased 2 Baby Bjorn potty seats. Mostly because I had 2 coupons that I didn't want to go to waste so I figured I'd start stocking up on potty related items. I still want to buy 2 more (1 for the car).
I chose this particular model because it is very small (our bathroom is about the size of a shower stall), they stack for storage purposes, they are easy to clean, and they don't make noise or have a goofy character on them.
We've had them in the bathroom just because we don't have any other place to really keep them. After tubby tonight, I decided to see what would happen if I sat the boys on the potty.
First up was Nate. I sat him on the potty and told him to pee. He sat there for a bit and looked off in the distance. When he stood up, there was pee in the potty! We couldn't believe it. How random...but super excited anyway. Lots of High Fives and praise.
Next up was Sam. I figured there was no way that he would do it too. I sat him down on the potty (a different one, just to make sure) and told him to pee. This time I watched the "spout" to see if anything would come out. What do you know??? He peed too! Holy Moses! Who would have thunk???
Last up was Ben. We figured for sure Ben would produce something. He's the most ready. He tells us to change his diaper after he makes us a "present". Well...nada...nothing...Ben did not like being shown up by his brothers. Maybe next time, buddy.
For the record, I was not even considering potty training them yet. I wasn't even thinking about it until next summer at the earliest. This was just a random coincidence in the "getting to know the potty" phase. I just had to document it though!
