So even before March started, we felt its effects. I had some crazy bug yesterday. I woke up at 5am and felt funny and then never recovered. I'll spare you the gory details and leave those up to your imagination. I stayed in bed most of the day, barely hauling myself up to a sitting position to pump. It was rough. By the evening I was able to eat some Saltines & chicken broth. When I finally took my temp, it was 100.4. That's super high for me. I'm usually cadaver-cold. I woke up this morning at 97.7 so we knew I was back to normal. Thank goodness I have an amazing hubby who took care of me & the 4 kids while I took a trip on the Stomach Bug Express.
Then today, we were feeding the babies their 10 am feed. I had Sammy propped up on a Boppy while I pumped. He stopped eating about 1/2way through so I took the bottle out to give him a break. This isn't like him. He is our future frat boy. He can chug a 6 oz bottle without breathing and give a nice healthy burp at the end.
During his "break", I felt my hand get wet...like projectile wet...my hand was about 4 inches from his face. As I turn to look to see what is happening, I see it...the gurgle...the Fountain of Spew...so gross!!! He got the couch, the Boppy, 2 couch pillows, himself, me, and my cousin Becky who was feeding Nate on the other end of the couch. We had to wash Becky's outfit, Sammy, Sammy's outfit, the slipcover, 2 pillows, the Boppy, the Boppy cover and about 10 burp cloths. The best part is I was still pumping so I couldn't get up. Everybody's covered in vom and I can't move...great!!! No worries though. I took his temp and it was fine. He's kept everything down since then...it was just a sight to see!!!
