So after 72 hours in L&D, I was moved down to antepartum at 2am. It's been quite a change. I can take showers, wear my own clothes, pee all by myself, and I'm not hooked up to 3 IV's, a BP cuff and O2 thing. It's much quieter and I get to sleep more.
The boys are hanging in there too. They had their first biophysical profile today. B&C (the twins) passed with 8/8. A (the water breaker) got a 4/8. He lost points for lack of fluid (obviously), lack of movement, and lack of breathing. Because of this, they did a Non-stress test on him right away. He was fine. He was just being camera shy. We'll have another u/s tomorrow to keep updated on his status.
The scoop is I'm here until I deliver. Because A broke his bag of fluid, I run the risk of infection. We have to be monitored constantly and I need lots of antibiotics. It's kind of a pain, but I know it's important. We're hoping to keep these boys cooking for 4-5 more weeks. They won't let me go past 34 weeks at this point. Every day continues to count so we are grateful for each day that we are given.
All prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated and urgently needed. Thank you for everybody's help with all of this craziness. We definitely wouldn't be able to do it without you.
