Not the real Polar Express mind you. Eli kept asking when we would reach the North Pole. He's seen the movie and read the book so many times, he's got it memorized.
The kids wore the jammies just like in the book. The adults did not. I have a thing about wearing my PJ's in public. It's not proper. It's not done. The end.
The babies actually wore 2 sets of jammies (a thin one and a thicker, fleece one). We tried to get their sneakers on over the double sets of footies. It DID NOT work. Good thing we had their Crocs all purchased for this coming summer. Hysterical!!!
We jammed ourselves on the train and listened to (Liam Niesen???) the story read aloud over the speaker system. All the while, we looked at Christmas lights around the park. So much fun! Just when we thought it was over, we sang Christmas caroles and the "Big Guy" came around and gave each kid a bell.
Once we disembarked, we got hot chocolate and cookies. Eli was really looking forward to the candies with the nougat as white as snow (or whatever). Oops! None of that, but we did have Fried Dough (which in my mind, trumps any silly nougat candy).
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Happy New Year!!!
