8 Months Old!!!

Nate-Ben-Sam
I can't believe that the boys are 8 months old.  It's just unfathomable.  They've grown so much and their personalities are definitely evolving.  They've made so much progress too.  I don't like to do milestone posts because when I read them, I feel like they're too "braggy".  It's been a little hard for me to read some of them on others' blogs because I can't help but compare.  I know you're not supposed to compare, but everybody does it.  So here's a quick update of who's doing what.  It's completely for informational purposes, not bragging or "neener-neener-boo-boo-ing".  We've also made up Mob names for each boy so I'll include those (don't ask about the Mob thing).

Ben aka Benny Cheeks
-best sitter of the bunch.  sitting up w/ boppy for 10+ minutes.
-can grab his toes.
-still refuses to do much rolling.
-great smiler (when he chooses).
-least talkative, but noisiest (does that make sense?)
-holds his bottle for most feeds
-biggest flirt

Nate aka The Sprinkler
-can "log roll"
-is possibly signing "milk" or waving goodbye.  whatever it is, it's cute!
-refuses to sit.  will stiffen up his whole body instead.
-refuses to spend much time on his tummy.  almost immediately rolls over.
-starting raspberries
-holds his bottle for most feeds
-holds his toes
-sleeps on his side
-great dimples
-hair is starting to curl

Sam aka Bam Bam, Thumper
-1st tooth (left lower central incisor) yesterday
-best at tummy time.  will spend all day on his belly.  spins around 360 degrees.  will roll in his crib and get stuck and need help to roll back over (we especially love this at 2 AM)
-says "da da da da"
-does raspberries
-loves his maraca
-starting to hold his bottle
-starting to sit w/help
-holds his toes
-hair is starting to curl

As far as solids go, we have tried green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, and avocados as well as rice cereal and oatmeal.  I have no idea which veggie I'm making next week, but hope to do bananas for their fruit.  Then applesauce, then peaches, then???  What should I do next for veggies?  All boys love their solids.  We've started feeding them 3x/day with 4 bottles/day.  It's getting to the point that they know what time it is and if we try to skip a solid feeding they'll let us know.  Oy vey!

Love the picture and the update. I don't think it's braggy at all. I do enjoy reading update posts because it gives me an idea on if our boys are really behind. I feels like we've been stuck in this infant stage forever. Our guys are 8 months, but 5 adjusted and I about had a heart attack the other day when I thought, omg they are 8 months, by now their sister was doing all this stuff. So honestly seeing your post really helps me feel better. Your guys are ahead, but they are older gestationally as well. So I read your posts and think, ok so maybe in a month or two we'll be where they are now. There is hope and I'm not alone in this multiple + preemie world. Does that make sense?

Also we've been thinking about making the baby food too, so I need to go back to your other post and take some notes soon. I'm not organized enough yet to have a good feeding schedule started. Sometimes they get cereal, some days they don't. lol
