Our First Bump in the Road

I know to this point we've had so much to be thankful for so it hit me hard when we had our appt today and everything wasn't "perfect".
Baby A (Han Solo) is weighing 1 lb 11 oz
Baby B (Twinkie) is weighing 1 lb 9 oz
Baby C (Twinkie) is weighing 1 lb 7 oz
To us, the novices, this seemed great! They're all within 2 oz of eachother. Well, aparently the Twinkies shouldn't be 2 oz apart. They should be more equal. The other problem they noticed was the fluid around Baby B & Baby C. Baby C has more fluid than Baby B. Baby B still has some fluid around him and his bladder is full so that's good news. The other thing that's perplexing the doctors is that the smaller baby has more fluid than the bigger baby. I keep looking at this as a positive, but have no idea what to think. It could be the begining of TTTS (Twin to Twin Tranfusion Syndrome). This is when one twin "hogs" up all the nutrients from the other and causes one to be significantly smaller than the other.

The doctor assured me that it's nothing I've done, but it's still tough to take. I have to go back for another u/s next week to double check everything. I'm hoping it was just mis-measurements and that this whole thing will go away. On top of that, Eli's surgery for his tube is next week so I'm not looking forward to the stress and anxiety. As usual prayers are always welcomed. It also looks like I'll need some playdates (for me) to keep me off the laptop so I can't do research all day long.

On a happier note, my cervix was 4.2 so I'm still to "keep doing what I'm doing" activity level wise.

Could the fact that baby B had a full bladder make some difference in their weights? I'm sure not quite 2 oz worth but it must account for something? Hopefully, Baby C will stop dieting this week and all will be back to normal....but I will be more than happy to add the bambinos to my prayers. You have to just give it up to God and trust his master plan for your family! Now go drink some water, eat some ice cream, and watch some mindless tv (of which I highly recommend Bravo)!!!!!

I'm sure your boys are a-ok and your next u/s will alleviate any fears you have about TTTS. You have a great cervical measurement! Trina's in only 2.8.
