Today was my first appt with Dr. M. at MGH. The worst part was trying to get out of Lowell as that took us a 1/2 hour. I'm super nervous about the actual delivery and how long it's gonna take us to get to Boston. Our whole appt took about an hour. He was super nice and not all doom and gloom like Dr. I. He basically layed out all of the possible issues so we can be informed, but didn't make it sound like the end of the world. He took an extensive history and asked me about a zillion questions. I'll be going back in 2 weeks for a real appt with pix of the kiddos!
The most annoying part of the whole appt was at check out. The receptionist apparently never had to put codes in for triplets. She had no idea what she was doing and couldn't figure out the notes the dr had written. She finally looked at me and said "You're having 3 babies?". Yup, Yup I am. That's why I'm at an MFM. Honestly, shouldn't people who work at these places know better? Hopefully she'll keep her mouth shut the next time we're there. In the meantime, we're still praying for the twinkies to see how many amniotic sacs they're in...Keep those fingers crossed...
More good news though... I only need to consume 3000 calories per day. That seems more doable...
