Twin Picnic

For those of you keeping track, we are members of a local triplet group and a local "moms of multiples" group.  The 2nd group I refer to as the twin group because we're the only set of triplets.  They had a super fun summer picnic at an artificial man made lake in the woods.  A little weird, but fun...Eli was having so much fun that I didn't get any pictures of him...

Eli recently attended a "Lego Camp" where he got to design and build a variety of Lego machines.  He was also asked to bring a camera and photograph his designs.  I have no idea what anything is, but here they are:

23 Months Old!

Who knew time would fly this fast???  I am so not ready to have 2 year olds...but the time's creeping up quick!!!

I recently bought some "new" used BBB clothes from another mom who dresses her boys in the same colors.  YAY!  These shirts are 24 months and I got them for next summer.  Well, it looks like they've still got some room in them.  Do you see Nate's neckline?  He looks like that girl from Flashdance.  It was almost down to his knees.  I guess we'll stick in size 18M for now!

The boys impress me with their verbal skills on a daily basis.  They are starting to put 2-3 words together.  They love to label things with their owner: "Mama fip fops (flip flops)", "Dada hat", "Eli (or Jijah) room", etc.  They (like most 2 year olds) have difficulty pronouncing initial consonant blends.  This makes it tricky when we're out in public and they're asking for their favorite shoes (Crocs) or pointing at a flag...Hopefully people don't get too offended!!!

NH Trip-Sunday-Santa's Village

We were super exhausted from all our fun the day before (& Sammy decided to pull an all nighter) so we got a late start on Sunday morning.  Because it was our last day in the condo, we also needed to pack up and part of the deal was that we would clean up after ourselves as well.  Oy!  That was a bit much!  Trying to clean while 4 boys are destroying what you've just cleaned is a bit difficult to say the least.  Dave and I tried a zone defense, but the best distraction was to put them on the porch.

The ride was over an hour north.  We were pretty much in Canada!  The fog was a little nuts, but made the mountains look super pretty.

We got to Santa's Village at around 11:30 so we quickly had lunch and went up to the Ho Ho H20 water park to drop off our cooler, swim suits, and towels.  Our plan was to do that part last.

We were right in the neighborhood of the Antique Cars so we hopped on those.  They were a bit different.  The pedals actually worked!  This meant I was in charge of the pedal.  We all fit in the same car this time too.

Then we headed back up to the Ho Ho H2O water park.  There was a splash pad for the littles...

And a giant contraption that we all went in.  If you look at the hole in the middle of the iceberg, you should see Dave & Eli.

Then we needed to grab dinner so we could hit the road and head home (yes, all the way home).  While we were eating, the rain started.  We managed to avoid it all day, but it caught us on the way out.  Eli had been playing the "Elfabet" game where he had a tag that had to be punched at 26 elves around the park.  Once the tag was filled, he would get a prize.  He and I went to get his prize and Dave headed out to the van to get the BeaNS changed and in their seats.

The smarties that they are make you exit through the gift shop.  It was a mob scene!  I couldn't decided what to get so I settled on these "grab" gifts...from Santa!  The kids opened them when we got to the car.

Super fun weekend!  Can't wait to do it again!  We didn't get home until 10pm,

but everybody had a blast!

NH Trip-Saturday-Story Land

We were up bright and early Saturday morning and ready to go to Story Land.  The problem was we were 5 minutes away and it didn't open until 9.  We puttered around a bit and then made a quick stop at DD's (of course) and went to the park.

We got in line a bit before 9 to get our tickets.  Upon entering the park we were instructed (by our FB friends) to head right for the Antique Cars because the line gets long.  So this is what we did.  What bewildered (and annoyed) me was kids riding solo in the cars.  A family of 5 used 3 cars because each child wanted to drive.  This made the line move extremely slow and made me a bit cranky.  It ended up happening at every ride where there was a "driver".  I know our time for this hasn't come yet because we just let Eli drive.  It will come eventually and I haven't decided how we'll handle it...

Conviently right outside the Antique cars was the train.  I was glad to do this at the start of the day so we could see the park and get ideas of what we'd like to do.

The BeaNS continue to shout "All Aboard!" all day long!

Then we went on a million more rides.  That was one of the benefits of Story Land (as opposed to Santa's Village).  There were a lot of rides to choose from that the whole family could enjoy.  Dave and Eli also went on a few "big kid" rides by themselves.

The one thing I really liked about Story Land was the "Mom's rooms".  They were in the same building as the bathrooms.  Each Mom Room had rocking chairs for nursing moms and a GIANT STABLE changing table.  The BeaNS hate the wobbly-drop-down-from-the-wall changing tables.  I would drive the wagon into the room and unload and change one baby at a time.  Each time I went in the room was vacant so I wasn't interrupting any nursing time.

We also really enjoyed the Fried Oreos and Hawaiian Shaved Ice---Yummers!!!

For dinner, it was suggested we go to the Muddy Moose by some FB friends.  Other FB friends said this was a bad idea.  Because we didn't have internet and couldn't remember what other restaraunts were suggested so we went.  Well...they don't take call-ahead table reservations.  They kept us waiting longer than they promised.  The food was ok, but our waitress was sweet.  The boys did ok even though they hadn't gotten a nap and were a wee bit grumpy.

It did start raining a bit while we were waiting for dinner.  But it didn't rain one drop on us while we were in the park!  Yay for the weather being on our side!!!!

Then after dinner we wanted to torture ourselves and our children a bit more so we ran over to the outlets.  We only went to 2 stores and were home fast!
