We're eggplants! That's pretty exciting. I can't believe how big they're getting and how they're developing. It truly is a miracle.
I really appreciate everybody's kind words and prayers and hope that everything goes well on Monday. I've been drinking protein shakes and staying horizontal as much as I can. These boys just need to learn to play nice and share!
We've chosen Godparents for the boys and finally asked all 3 sets so now they're officially covered in that department. Here they are: Baby A-Bill & Becky, Baby B-Chad & Danni, Baby C-J & Amy. We have names picked out too, but you'll have to wait a few months for that!
Summer school is officially done and I'm officially on full time gestating duty. I hope I don't get too bored. I do have some projects I set aside for myself, writing thank you notes, organizing photo albums, etc.
Keep us in your prayers next week...Monday for the babies and Tuesday for Eli's surgery...

Our First Bump in the Road
I know to this point we've had so much to be thankful for so it hit me hard when we had our appt today and everything wasn't "perfect".
Baby A (Han Solo) is weighing 1 lb 11 oz
Baby B (Twinkie) is weighing 1 lb 9 oz
Baby C (Twinkie) is weighing 1 lb 7 oz
To us, the novices, this seemed great! They're all within 2 oz of eachother. Well, aparently the Twinkies shouldn't be 2 oz apart. They should be more equal. The other problem they noticed was the fluid around Baby B & Baby C. Baby C has more fluid than Baby B. Baby B still has some fluid around him and his bladder is full so that's good news. The other thing that's perplexing the doctors is that the smaller baby has more fluid than the bigger baby. I keep looking at this as a positive, but have no idea what to think. It could be the begining of TTTS (Twin to Twin Tranfusion Syndrome). This is when one twin "hogs" up all the nutrients from the other and causes one to be significantly smaller than the other.
The doctor assured me that it's nothing I've done, but it's still tough to take. I have to go back for another u/s next week to double check everything. I'm hoping it was just mis-measurements and that this whole thing will go away. On top of that, Eli's surgery for his tube is next week so I'm not looking forward to the stress and anxiety. As usual prayers are always welcomed. It also looks like I'll need some playdates (for me) to keep me off the laptop so I can't do research all day long.
On a happier note, my cervix was 4.2 so I'm still to "keep doing what I'm doing" activity level wise.

24 Weeks...Big Milestone!!!
Today is a huge milestone for us!!! 24 weeks is the point of viability. At this point if the babies were born, they would have some percentage of survival. They would have issues and delays and be hospitalized for an extremely long time, but they would have a chance. Our next big milestone is 28 weeks, then 32 (which is typical gestation for triplets), then 36 (which is my goal). At this point, every minute, day, week in the oven keeps these little buns cookin' and growin'.
This week Dave moved us back into our room. We're creating a "baby bunker". We basically filling our room with everything I'll need so I don't have to leave. He's put in a TV (we're still waiting on the digital converter thingee), an AC, a humidifier, and pretty soon a mini fridge and a potty! Once I'm done with school next week, I'm putting myself in lockdown. If you need me, I'll be in the bunker!!!
This week also, I've come down with something. I've got a sore throat and am extremely congested. I'm not sure if it's a cold or allergies or what, but I'm moderately miserable and not being able to take anything (or refusing to take something) isn't making it any better.
We (and by "we" I mean Dave) still have some work to do upstairs to get everything ready for the babies. Eli's currently in their room while Dave redoes his "baby" room into a "big boy" room. We hope to have him moved back in before he starts school. Dave's only got limited time where he works full time and has to wait on me hand and foot when he gets home. He pretty much gets most of his work done while Eli and I are asleep. Good thing he can run on 5 hours of sleep!

Photo Shoot with 23 week pix
I had mentioned previously about a coworker of Dave's being a part time photographer and being in a class that needed a prego model. Who's more prego than me? Um, nobody? So, here are some unofficial pix from the class. I say unofficial b/c they were taken by Dave's coworker (Jean Wozniak) and not the class's instructor. B/c of this, they're not totally centered or in focus b/c she was in the background snapping away. The good news is that I didn't have to get naked! The bad news is after standing up for so long, I started to get woozy. I made it through alive and we got some super cute pix.
Here's a lovey dovey one of me and Dave...
This one cracks me up b/c Eli's face is like "Whoa, that's a big belly!"
This one is cute, but the pose was hard to hold...

I feel like these ones in white outside should be in a JCPenney ad or something...

Don't we look like we're at our house on the Vineyard???

This pose was my favorite b/c I finally got to sit down...

Not too shabby right???

Where Oh Where has my Husband Gone???
I have to say that my husband is an absolutely amazing man. Throughout this entire pregnancy, he has been so supportive and goes above and beyond to keep me comfortable, fed, and happy.
We are in a crunch time right now where my shower is next week and we need the babies' room available for storage. We've been renovating our upstairs for what seems like forever. Currently we're shacked up in the babies' room (which was supposed to be Eli's room...oops!) while our room was redone. The wallpaper was hideous, the ceiling paint was peeling, the carpet was a mess. He and my mom have taken care of the ceiling and walls. A nice little man came by and made our hidden hard wood floors sparkle. All the while I've been holed up on the couch.
It's not that I'm on official bedrest. It's that I'm trying to take it easy. Dave understands this and has let me "lounge" around as much as possible. He runs errands for me, fixes me meals (no matter how wacky), and takes care of EVERYTHING around the house. The end result is that I never get to see him. This makes me a little sad. I just want him back...or I want to clone him so I have one Dave to hang out with and 2 or 3 others to do the work around the house. Does anybody have a clone machine we can borrow???

23 Weeks!!!
This has been a tough week emotionally. I'm in a crazy place and my emotions are out of control. I know I'm driving Dave crazy and Eli has become attatched to a diaper. I wish I could fast forward 2-3 weeks so I'd be done with Summer School, the reno would be done upstairs (hopefully), and I can finally put my feet up and relax.
I'm really proud that we've made it this far and hope that things continue to go as they have been. The boys continue to be active and love to have party time while I'm trying to fall asleep. Such is life, they're just trying to get me ready for all the sleepless nights I have ahead of me.
I know I have a lot of things to be thankful for, but right now it's just tough to get past the rest of the stuff I'm dealing with.
Sorry for the downer post. Hopefully I'll perk up and be back to pseudo-normal soon...

22 week check up
We had an unusual, quick appointment at MGH today (unusual b/c it was quick). My main concern was the "pressure" down low that I started feeling yesterday when I stand up. I was told that this is typical with triplets. Yay! Well, not Yay, b/c it really doesn't feel good, but Yay, that it's nothing to worry about.
My cervix is still long and firm and closed! That's a definite Yay!!! I wasn't sure if the pressure meant something bad was happenening.
Dr. M. said everything is good and we can continue to do things as we have been. Yay!
In other news, I've been having some wacky dreams. A lot of them involve classic VW bugs...Last night I dreamt that one of Dave's aunts told me that my "plastic" babies couldn't be baptized in the church...Oy vey! Also, last night were a lot of dreams about cemetaries...Yikes!!!
Last night, we made our first clothing purchases for the boys! We found preemie outfits at Target & BRU on clearance. I also got my first chance to ride in the fancy cart at Target. That puppy rocks! I especially love the back up beeps...so much fun! I don't think I could ride around on that with Eli though b/c he would want to hop in the basket.
Lastly, I'm having a weird craving. It's not chalk or gasoline and it is a food product, but not one you typically eat by itself. It's salad dressing!?!?! So weird. I've been eating bowls upon bowls of iceburg lettuce just so I can drown it in this specific salad dressing. Then at the end, I've been very tempted to drink the dressing that's left in the bowl. I know it's weird, but it could be worse!
Thanks for the prayers and finger crossing! Keep it up!
