So we've finally ventured out of the house and we've been having a blast! We even attempted to eat out at a restaraunt. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera! I know, I'm fired!
Today was Eli's first t-ball practice and we made it out without turning into popsicles. Literally. It was 36 degrees and windy. We dressed the babies up in their fuzzy bear suits and had the bundle-me's on their carseats. They mostly behaved and slept. Sammy woke up and I walked over to the playground with him where he went for a ride in the baby swing. It was his first time! I can't wait to give the other two guys a try. Eli rocked his t-ball practice (kinda). He's never used a baseball glove, so that didn't go so well. I was surprised that he also had a hard time throwing (like 2 miles in the wrong direction) and hitting off the T. He was hitting the T more than the ball. It turns out he's the youngest kid on the team and he's never played before so I think they'll cut him some slack. He made it onto the Red Sox though. Bring it on!
Then this afternoon, we took a trip to Kohl's to cash in my extra bucks and coupons (love that place). The babies did laps around the store with Dave. It's a bit of a tight squeeze to fit them around the clothes and stuff. They got a few stares, but not too many. More happy comments than nasty comments & that's always good.
Then a quick trip over to Staples and we were on our way home...or so we thought. We had planned on trying a restaraunt this weekend. We were planning on tomorrow...BUT we really wanted to go today. So we did. We had bottles with us in case we were out late so we gave it a whirl. We went to a local pizza place, Sal's, which was right down the street. We were familiar with the layout and it's counter service so we knew we wouldn't have to worry about waiting for a waitress & to be seated. We went in and I claimed a nice corner by the window. They didn't have enough high chairs so we just left the babies in their carseats & lined them up on the floor. I ordered the pizza and it was a 20 minute wait for the food so we fed the babies. We left them in their seats & propped their bottles on their bundle-me's. It all went pretty smoothly. Eli was the biggest issue because he was flirting with this adorable little 3 year old, Lilly. Luckily her grandparents were good sports & let him sit with them (I KNOW!!! I never would have let that happen Before Triplets). We made it out unscathed. Everybody was pretty exhausted (including the adults) when we got home so hopefully it's a quiet night...
It's so nice to finally be getting out of the house. I didn't realize how much I missed it!
