Leaves abound

A funny thing happens in New England in the fall...the leaves turn colors and fall of the trees.  To many, this is something that should be revelled in and revered.  To those of us who live here, it's a big pain in the patootie.  It does provide a fun photo op for the littles and another fun way to torture them.

Sammy...
...has this issue where he doesn't like prickly things.  He was not at
all happy to be in the leaves...

Sam the Swimming Man

This week was Sammy's turn to try out swim class.  It may look like deja vu because the swim suit is the same.  It's not that I bought 3 of the same suit, it's that I bought 1 suit to rotate through the boys.  Brilliant, right???
It took him a bit to warm up but he had a blast nonetheless...

Before I was a MoM (mom of multiples)...

...I would have never designed this fashionable window treatment...

This is a good day.  It's a bad day when I can actually see the backyard as that means all the bibs have been used and are strewn about the house. Who knew one family could go through so many bibs???

Halloween...It's about time!!!

Mother Nature decided to send a N'oreaster our way last weekend so Halloween was postponed to this weekend.  It was a little weird to celebrate Halloween in November, but we did it.  I think we got the kids dressed in their Halloween costumes at least 10 times this year...Let's see...
1.  Pix at the mall
2.  NVMoM party
3.  DenDen's party
4.  Trick or Treat at the Mall
5.  Trick or Treat at UML
6.  Pix at home
7.  Trick or Treat at Auntie Cathy's
8.  Parade at school
9.  Trick or Treat at home

OK...only 9 times.  I bet the babies are glad that they're not going to be paraded around like pigs any more.

Nate gets his swim on

Eli started swim lessons at the Y when he was 8 months old.  He's a super swimmer now and he has been enrolled off and on ever since then.  Since T-Ball's done and our Saturday's are wide open, we decided to get the boys swimming.  Because the babies need an adult each and we don't have 3 adults, we decided to enroll 1 baby per session and just rotate them through weekly.
Natey was Head Bean last week so he got to go in the pool first.

Eli's past this point in lessons, so he can swim without an adult.

I got to sit on the pool deck with Ben & Sam and feed them and keep them occupied.  The best part is that schedule-wise, we have the babies' class at 8:15 and Eli's class at 9:05.  That part stinks.  We need to talk to somebody in charge to get Eli's class moved to 8:15.  I'd much rather do the earliest class possible so that we can get on with our day.
I can't wait to see how Ben & Sam do.  Sammy will be next week (unless he's sick, then we skip around the rotation).

Pumpkin Carving

Who knew New England would be dealt a huge and powerful snowstorm before Halloween this year?  Not us of course.  So we went on and carved our pumpkins like we always do...

Because we have to wait a week for trick or treat, the pumpkins have been sitting on the front porch.  Without our knowledge or permission, the squirrels have been enjoying a free buffet of pumpkin.  Good thing I took these pix last week because the pumpkins are now completely unrecognizable.

It's Shoe Time

After waiting, what felt like days (oh, that's right, it was days), the boys' new shoes came in the mail...

Thank you Stride Rite (if I do enough product placement in my blog,
will you sponsor me...or at least give us some free shoes???)

Nate stakes his claim.
Ben finds his own pair.

Apparently, Nate needs 2 pair.

Sammy loves his new box...I mean shoes...

Ben's checking out the merch.

Hooray...shoes!!!

Hey mom...check this out!!!

What's on my foot???

It's a little dry...I think I need some ketchup.

Look at me!!!

What a big boy!!!

Check me out!!!

Not too shabby.
